This is the second consecutive Nobel Prize for nucleic acids, following the 2023 Nobel Prize for Katalin Karik&#xF3; and Drew Weissmann for their work onmRNA technology. The development of nucleic acid-based therapeutics is the goal of the Cluster for Nucleic Acid Therapeutics Munich (CNATM). In CNATM leading academic groups and 14 biotech companies are working together to achieve this goal.
